"My friend Shane and I share a passion for restoring our family farms and you can be sure Shane will be tough on illegal immigration. Thanks for your consideration in voting for Shane Coley on July 20th."

"Shane has the stellar combination of a tough mind and a tender heart. I heartily endorse him and encourage all of my friends to get to know him." ~ Roger Hines

Knowing candidate Shane Coley and his terrific family has been one of the great blessings of my life. I admire Shane for his keen intelligence, but even more do I admire his integrity and his pure motives for running for public office. Having served in the General Assembly, I know that Shane is exactly the kind of person we need to represent us. Shane has the stellar combination of a tough mind and a tender heart. I heartily endorse him and encourage all of my friends to get to know him.

Former State Rep. Roger Hines - May 2010

"I know Shane Coley and he is a straight shootin' son of a gun. Shane Coley is the only man in this race to whom I would entrust my government."

Mike Strickland - July 2010

After speaking at the Athens Area 912 Meeting:

Shane's presentation was outstanding. He shared well-researched information that should be taught in every economics and government class across the nation. A highly recommended speaker!

Pat Daugherty - January 2010

After reading my Liberty Keys Documents, Lisa wrote:

I think this statement put everything in a better perspective for me:

"16. We can no longer depend on new land, advances in industry, advances in technology or cheap energy to hold onto our liberty as government and money powers continue to grow stronger."

Thank you for letting me look through your 'glasses'!! Very informative I am going to share this with my family. BRILLIANT!!

Lisa Sasuta Ricci - June 2010

Congratulations, Shane, on your decision to serve our district! Or perhaps I should instead congratulate my fellow district members at the prospect of having you represent us. I'm so excited! Where do I get my yard sign??

Cathy Bennett - July 2009

The State of Georgia's legislature will benefit greatly from the integrity, family devotion, and biblical worldview demonstrated by Shane Coley. The people of Georgia deserve honest, hardworking leadership who understand the issues with big government. I know Shane will serve Georgia well.

Walt Sirmans - July 2009

Congratulations Shane! I wish we still lived in your district so that we could lend you our physical support during your campaign for senate. We will support you through prayer, and that is after all, the most effective tool you will need throughout this journey. My parents and grandmothers will most definitely be voting for you at the polls. I enjoy reading your thoughts (sometimes up to 10 times a day =]) about turning this country around. Your zeal for helping the "common man" should be commended! Good Luck with your campaign and much love to your family!

"...I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is ...one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." Eph. 4:1-3,6

Shane Coley is a walking example of someone choosing to live their life worthy of the calling he has received. He believes in God first, then family, then the rest. We would be blessed to have him in the Senate and I encourage all of you to pray for Shane, encourage others to get to know Shane and his values, and be a voice of absolute Truth when the time comes. Standing for Truth in a time where it lacks is an honor and our calling...let's help Shane do his!

Karen Mutchler Allen - July 2009

Shane combines key qualities for elected office. As a Christian his commitment is to an objective base of morality and natural rights -- those liberties issued from God to human beings created in His image and likeness.

As a well-read subscriber to "Austrian school" (unhampered free market) economics, he knows the well-being of all citizens across class and culture hinges on the freedom and sovereignty of personal decision-making, sound money, and the end of government regulations that reward the politically-connected few at the expense of the many.

At a time when the general drift seems to be toward a collectivist mindset that jeopardizes personal faith and aspiration, Shane stands against the tide.

Chuck Hicks - August 2009

I feel so honored to be able to write on Shane's 'quest for Senate' wall. I know that Shane is needed in our government and that he would be like a breath of fresh air. I know that he would be so truthful that some people would feel quite uncomfortable, but he loves the Lord so much that he couldn't do otherwise. I truly believe that his sweet spirit, strong integrity, outgoing personality, his Christian walk, his desire to help, and his beautiful family will guide him down the path that he is seeking! He certainly has my vote!

Pam Clark - August 2009

Although I live outside your district, you'd have my vote for Senate, Shane. I've known you for several years now, seen you in action working and supporting your community as well as fighting for principles you firmly believe in. Our casual conversations and my experiences working with you lead me to believe that you are the REAL DEAL - not just talking the talk but walking the walk. Honesty, Integrity and Intelligence are just a few of your strongest traits that come to mind. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving along side you at Come Alive Ministries. Suit up in your armour and continue to fight the good fight. Be blessed on your journey, my brother in Christ.

Ted Shoop - August 2009

It is a joy to see Shane Coley, a Man of Integrity, offering to serve his state and the nation. There is no need for a voting record to know where Shane will stand and the causes he will support. Shane will bring a profound understanding of our economic woes, and he is prepared to put forward common sense solutions to guide our future. I urge each one visiting this Wall to take a leadership role in helping Shane reach the Senate.

Dr. Brent Baas - August 2009

If the American people will elect, honest, passionate, Christian Conseratives like Shane Coley, we the citizens, will take this country back. Shane is a man of integrity and shares a deep desire to put the power back in the hands of the WE THE PEOPLE. Shane Coley is one of few I feel proud to cast my vote for.

"Shane, I believe that you more than anyone else can cull the wheat from the chaff, at least in my orbit and probably throughout the country."

Geno Fenoglio - May 2010

I met Shane a few months back and have come to believe, by reading his writing on the subject, that he has gone deeper and wider into the source of our economic woes than virtually anybody else. His study of economics has given him a perspective on what is needed to fix our economy and restore our liberty that is sorely lacking in our political discussion. For this reason Shane through his character, knowledge, and force of personality is carving out a larger stage from which to speak. As the years go forward I believe that stage will continually grow.

Geno Fenoglio - June 2010

I have known Shane for over ten years and have always found him to be honest, trustworthy and unwavering on his convictions. He has always been very passionate about what concerns him and is not afraid to stand for what he believes in.

"If our State Capitols were full of elected officials with the same ideals as Mr. Coley, America would experience untold Prosperity and Liberty."

As the organizer of the Tea Party of Louisiana, I have come to realize that the fight for Liberty is best waged in the chambers of our State Capitols. We must re-assert the 10th Amendment and change the dynamic by which the Federal Government and States currently operate. I am often frustrated by the tendency of Liberty advocates to run for the U.S. House or U.S. Senate. I understand the temptation, but that course of action seems to almost affirm the idea that that little town in Maryland is more important than the States. I am refreshed to see a good solid candidate like Shane Coley run for the State Senate. If our State Capitols were full of elected officials with the same ideals as Mr. Coley, America would experience untold Prosperity and Liberty. For this reason, I am proud to endorse Shane Coley for the Georgia State Senate.

"Shane's dedication to the citizens of our state and nation has long been obvious to all who know him. He is so serious about restoration that he has spent the past 14 years searching for answers about what has gone wrong in our nation."

Shane and his wife of 23 years, Leesa, have resided in Barrow County since 1983 and 1986 respectively. They have two adult children, Anna and Benjamin. Shane is a Georgia native, born in Moultrie and raised in both Madison County and Augusta.

Shane attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and studied Agricultural Engineering at the University of Georgia.

While Shane has spent the past dozen years building and managing computer data systems for Agricultural and Document Management services, his overall life experience is broad and deep.

Shane was raised in the cattle business. At 8 years of age he was operating a tractor all day in the hayfield. When he wasn't in school, he hunted, fished or worked.

In 1983 the family business moved from Augusta to Statham. At 17 years of age, Shane was the person left to take care of the cattle, equipment and farm, which was spread over two counties, while the rest of the family and crew came to Barrow County to prepare for the move.

Shane has been leading people since he was 21 years old. At 21 he managed the farm. At 22 he set up a logging operation and harvested the timber from what is now The Georgia Club.

It can be said that, based on his experience and history, odds are if you bring him a piece of equipment he can operate it, tear it apart and rebuild it. Coley understands hard work and the challenges and cost of doing business.

Shane has been self-employed since age 25 when he founded MSC Enterprises. This business has been a technology company from the start, but also has been the working platform for other projects including hydraulics, international export, sophisticated data services and various private research projects.

Shane has experience in agriculture, manufacturing, engineering and international export. Shane has spent the past dozen years building large scale computer systems. He has also extensively studied apologetics, history, economics, organizational behavior and more.

Shane's dedication to the citizens of our state and nation has long been obvious to all who know him. He is so serious about restoration that he has spent the past 14 years searching for answers about what has gone wrong in our nation.

"So far, not one person has offered to refute his argument. Shane knows what is broken and what must be done to bring about restoration."

Based on his research, Shane often presents information that he considers the single fundamental issue that must be understood in order to restore and preserve our Liberty. So far, not one person has offered to refute his argument. Shane knows what is broken and what must be done to bring about restoration. His great passion in life is helping spread this message of Liberty and Prosperity far and wide. He shares the best of his years of research with all who have an interest.

Shane's arguments are so unique and clearly true that his research is influencing the teaching of economics at LeTourneau University, a Christian College in Texas.

Shane is an avid gun owner who enjoys fishing, hunting, riding horses and simply being outdoors.

Shane serves as Deacon and Bible teacher at First Baptist Church, Statham. He also serves on the Board at Come Alive Ministries, a pro-life pregnancy resource center in Winder.

Comments from others:

If you are like most of us, we have become quite cynical when it comes to politicians and our political system. It has become obvious that we have a run away government that is bent on taking this country down through deficit spending and over taxation. It seems as though both major parties love BIG government. One party just loves it more than the other and few are really talking about the drastic reductions that are necessary.

I have known Shane Coley for nearly ten years, both as a friend and as a business partner. I know him to be a man of integrity, a man with an exceptional work ethic, one who can see through the rhetoric to the root issues and one who has the capabilities to develop, implement and manage workable solutions.

"He is a man you can trust to do what he says he will do and to stand up for what is best for the future of this great State."

"I do not know of a more knowledgeable or capable individual running for the State Senate and to have him from our district would be an honor."

The problems facing the state of Georgia, as well as our Nation, are complex and require individuals of exceptional capabilities, clear thinking and strong principles in order to turn us back from this downward spiral to the foundations that made our Country great.

Shane's extensive management experience in a diversity of industries from agriculture to computer software development, coupled with his over 14 years of exhaustive research into the economic and governmental issues facing our country, have well prepared him for the challenges of representing our 47th District in our state Senate. He is a man you can trust to do what he says he will do and to stand up for what is best for the future of this great State. I do not know of a more knowledgeable or capable individual running for the State Senate and to have him from our district would be an honor. He needs your vote on Tuesday, July 20th.

Bob Machen - July 2010

I wanted to address Shane's speech from the Barrow County event last night. I actually work for one of the gubernatorial candidates, and am supporting Shane for 47th district Senate seat.

It was quite pleasing in my eyes to see the speeches by all three candidates last night. Shane Coley's speech was so well received by the audience, I felt a sense of accomplishment just saying I know him. While one candidate went on about a few issues facing Georgians in a very politician-like manner, she really didn't cover or commit to anything that Shane hasn't done before her. She focused on cutting taxes, which it was quite clear by Shane's message that he would inherently cut taxes based on his view of the situation we as Americans face. She mentioned her experience as mayor and the growth of Braselton while in office to show her worthiness for the senate seat.

The other candidate was much more entertaining in my opinion. He started out by saying how much he respected Shane Coley, and how he would like to sit down and exchange thoughts regarding economics at a later date. (Before the event started, I overheard him say how much of a great guy Shane Coley is.) He then proceeded to attack the other candidate for some fibs she may or may not have told regarding tax cuts during her time as mayor. Afterward, like the other candidate, he proceeded to mention his experience and to talk a bit about a few minor issues facing his constituents like SPLOST, education, taxes, etc.

"The funny thing is that Shane has a huge vision, one that is full of truth, and that by its very nature, dictates Shane's stances on those issues. As he said last night, 'Government gets smaller, Liberty gets bigger.'"

The funny thing is that Shane has a huge vision, one that is full of truth, and that by its very nature, dictates Shane's stances on those issues. As he said last night, "Government gets smaller, Liberty gets bigger." From my perspective, the other candidates have realized how much truth Shane speaks, and they now are scrambling to defend themselves, even though no attack has been made. The one gentlemen appeared to align himself with Shane as to gain some support from the crowd, and then bashed the lady so as to make it a two-man race. It was rather uncomfortable yet delightful at the same time.

In summary, Shane Coley is NOT a politician. He is simply a man who wants to see liberty advance. He has spent years seeking the truth, which is evident by the confidence and poise behind his words. He doesn't need glitz and glam to win support from his constituents because people LOVE the truth. Most candidates need a platform, but Mr. Coley has the truth, and his one goal is to deliver it to the people.

When I heard Shane's message for the first time a few short weeks ago, I was astonished at what I had heard in that short hour. But more than that: I was astonished at what I had NOT heard for 22 years of my life. Being one of the most well-informed citizens politically, I felt ashamed and embarrassed that I had not known the truth behind our economic system and government.

As I said previously, I attended Shane's talk a few weeks ago while representing my gubernatorial candidate. Before the meeting, I had no care in the world what a candidate for the 47th district Senate seat had to say. I will say, though, that the truth speaks for itself. And being delivered from ignorance is what is truly blissful.

Coleman Porter - February 2010

I had the great privilege and honor of meeting and conversing with Shane Coley during the January 2010 Campaign for Liberty Atlanta event. Our discussions touched on various issues pertinent to important current events such as an increasing loss of individual liberty due to an ever intrusive federal government but I found myself particularly drawn to his sensible and sound knowledge of economics and business. I imagine anyone who delves into that subject with Shane leaves with a much better education on those issues. I know I did. Shane is a delightful 'teacher' and it is plain to see that he is most generous in sharing his priceless wisdom.

"I found myself particularly drawn to his sensible and sound knowledge of economics and business."

Shane's well-grounded conviction in the founding principles of this nation and his extensive knowledge of successful and fundamental economic principles as well as the most effective way to implement those ideals to government left me with a grand impression that Shane would make a excellent Statesman for Georgia - something which is sorely lacking with our current slate of run-of-the-mill career Politicians.

Our nation is in dire need of strong leadership by Statesmen who care for the future of this nation. Our nation needs strength in elected Statesmen who know our Constitution, our nation's history, a free enterprise system that allows individuals to succeed in business and a strong faith in our Creator which is the true source of our rights. I hope and pray that Shane will be the next State Senator for Georgia's 47th District to fill that void.

Cynthia Headden Miller - June 2010
Defender of Liberty

Not in my lifetime has it ever been more important to elect men and women to public office who possess solid personal character and an unwavering commitment to protecting our liberties and property rights from the encroachments of government. Shane is such a man, and that's why I believe he would do a superb job in the Georgia Senate.

"The thing that has always impressed me about Shane is that his "yes" is always "yes" and his "no" is always "no". I have never had to wonder where I stood in dealing with him on any issue."

Shane is a fine man with sound thoughts and convictions as to how to govern himself and how the business of our great state should be conducted. The thing that has always impressed me about Shane is that his "yes" is always "yes" and his "no" is always "no". I have never had to wonder where I stood in dealing with him on any issue. This man is a student of history. He knows the kind of government our founding fathers bequeathed to us and he will work to keep Big Brother from encroaching further on our lives. As a citizen and native of Georgia, I am excited about Shane's candidacy for the 47th district state Senate seat. My only disappointment is that I live in the 49th district and can't cast my vote for this outstanding man.

Greg Schermerhorn - August 2009

"We may go our whole life and never meet a true patriot, but we are fortunate to have one among us..."

We are now at a crossroads in America, from our nation all the way to the local level. Shane Coley is someone who stands behind and believes in what our founding fathers gave us to govern this great nation. Shane has dedicated his life to uphold our greatest gift, the Constitution, and will continue to do that. We may go our whole life and never meet a true patriot, but we are fortunate to have one among us willing to step up and fight for us like Shane Coley

Jud Smith - July 2010
Barrow County Sheriff

From my all too short interactions with Mr. Coley, I have been impressed with how passionate he is about leadership and the inner-workings of finance and government. From reading his various blogs and journals on government, finance, and capitalism, I have learned a great deal. His ideals are refreshingly simple, and yet so very powerful that any number of them would be able to make headway in changing society. The political landscape today is full of greedy, unethical, immoral, and thoughtless people who care only for themselves. Mr. Coley is one of very few people left in politics who have a passion for others, who desires a positive societal shift, and who yearns for the return of an ethical and moral society grounded firmly in the roots that have made this nation great.

"His ideals are refreshingly simple, and yet so very powerful that any number of them would be able to make headway in changing society."

Not only does he have great passion, but he also wishes to do something to help achieve positive transformation in the world he lives in. He does not want to transform society through frivolous spending or wasting resources; rather he is a man firmly grounded in the capitalist ideals of productivity breeding prosperity. While many others simply stand on the sidelines, Mr. Coley has boldly volunteered and offered to take up the responsibility of helping lead a transformation in society. The role of a senator at any level is a position that is extremely effective at being a catalyst necessary for transforming the society in which we live. This position is as much a change agent as it is a stepping-stone for much larger responsibilities. From this seat, one can continue to move beyond - taking upon himself more responsibility to be that effective change-agent to society.

Senators, both state and national, have been either highly ineffective, or radically changing to society. Mr. Coley is most definitely the latter, willing to be that dearly needed catalyst for positive change in a society full of political apathy. Where others lay down arms, Mr. Coley is willing to take them up and fight for the moral, ethical, and righteous values for which he stands. Please join me in passionate support for a man who can in fact effect change that cannot only aid and influence the people of Georgia, but in due time could effect a transformation of a much larger demographic.

Kevin Skinner - August 2009

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

This tremendous insight is from the book of Proverbs, chapter 23, and verse 23. If only our elected representatives would bind themselves to this instruction! I can tell you from many Saturday morning conversations that Shane and I have shared that he understands the power inherent in this and other citations of the Holy Scriptures.

Our leadership is fundamentally devoid of rational thought when we discuss the topic of truth. Moral relativism has become one of my "hot buttons" as I understand the fallacy of such arguments viewed against a backdrop of Christ's teachings. A "thing" either "is" or "is not" - and I don't care about your definition of "is". Truth exists independent of your personal belief system and is only discovered through the diligent efforts of the seeker in a process similar to mining for gold. Only after the dirt is carefully removed will nuggets appear.

Shane is one of the few people I have met in my 52 years that fully comprehends that truth is sacred, pure, and a treasure to be both relished and shared. Shared in the sense of Jesus saying "Freely ye have received, freely give".

"I have several friends in this district and have already put them on notice that a leader is ready to emerge."

My greatest disappointment with Shane's announcement is that I won't have the chance to cast my vote for this man of integrity. The constituents of this district can rest on this truth- Shane will listen to all sides of a debate, filtering the arguments with the prism of truth.

I have several friends in this district and have already put them on notice that a leader is ready to emerge. Join the cause - invite your friends to take a look at this man and his qualifications. I believe they will be refreshingly impressed with my friend Shane!

May God continue to bless America!

Rick McQueen - August 2009

Shane: I like your message and your position on the issues. We need more men like you to stand up and get this country turned around to be what our forefathers envisioned. You have the promise of our votes and we will encourage others to do the same.

Mike McKeel - June 18, 2010

"Shane understands that transformation of our government begins with protection of our liberties."

Shane and I graduated from high school in 1984, and after years of separation following graduation I bumped into him here on facebook. It was exciting to see him after so many years, but more exciting was to read of his passion for the Lord first and foremost, as well as his passion and commitment to reforming our broken government. Shane understands that transformation of our government begins with protection of our liberties. He stands for truth, he is a follower of Christ, and he is committed to families and protection of the unborn. I am so encouraged by the opportunity that the voters in his district have to send him to the state legislature. Even if we are ineligible to vote for Shane, I assure you we will ALL benefit from his election to this important position. We are at a critical crossroads in the life of our state and country. Transformation must begin at the municipal and state level. If you are eligible to vote for Shane, please do it! I certainly would if I could!!

Kristie Marsh Quattlebaum - August 2009

"...one candidate keeps coming back to the top of the heap and that's Shane Coley."

As mayor of Nicholson I have had the opportunity to meet three of the four canditates for the State Senate seat vacated by Ralph Hudgens. When you have three fine republicans in a race such as we do this election a decision on where to cast your support is hard to decide and that support may change from one candidate to another but with all the intangibles that can come in to a decision, one candidate keeps coming back to the top of the heap and that's Shane Coley. I think Shane is the right fit for us at this time.

Ronnie Maxwell - July 2010

The Duke of Richmond said, “No people can ever be made to submit to a form of government they say they will not receive.”

It was a surprise to me to learn that, at the very beginning of the Revolutionary War, there were leading British military leaders who refused to take part. They recognized the difficulty of winning a war against a people who were fighting for a cause. The Duke of Richmond said, “No people can ever be made to submit to a form of government they say they will not receive.” Who would have imagined that a rag-tag group of ill-equipped men would ultimately send the Brits home in defeat? Those wise British military leaders knew then what Shane Coley has known for decades: Equip the people with knowledge, with passion, and a cause, and we can never be made to submit to a form of government that we do not choose to receive.

For too many years we have been made to believe that our individual vote doesn’t matter, that our voice is not heard. Many of us feel powerless against the status quo that is thrust upon us by big people sitting in high places, making decisions that we don’t want. We feel powerless to make a difference, so we just accept it. Oh, we’ll complain about it around the water cooler or at the barber shop, though we simply adapt our lives as one by one our liberties are in danger of disappearing.

Recently there was a letter circulating on the internet stating that Obama was the best thing to happen to America. It was sarcastic in nature, but the bottom line was that this election had awakened the passions of voters more than any in recent history. This is a good thing! Complacent people who opposed Obama as president became more proactive, and we have seen a large uprising of We The People becoming involved in politics, and pledging to effect a change. As Japan’s Admiral Yamamoto is credited to say after the bombing of Pearl Harbor: "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

"As a personal friend, he is always ready with answers to my many questions, and the questions of others who seek truth, always with encouragement to study further on our own."

"I learned long ago that Shane is a man of impeccable integrity, strong family values, as well as a respected leader in our church."

Shane Coley has not been asleep, but he is certainly filled with resolve. For years, he has researched the American (and world) economic structure, and has examined The Constitution, upon which all laws should be based. For such a time as this, Shane has studied, prepared, lectured, written blogs and created web pages that speak of his passion and knowledge. For him, it is not only about winning an election, though that is certainly the goal, it is about educating Americans. His conviction to teach us the truth, and teach us to search for truth on our own, is evident. As a personal friend, he is always ready with answers to my many questions, and the questions of others who seek truth, always with encouragement to study further on our own. I learned long ago that Shane is a man of impeccable integrity, strong family values, as well as a respected leader in our church. With a brilliant mind, a love for justice and liberty, a passion for upholding The Constitution, and a heart for serving his fellow Georgians, Shane Coley is the candidate to equip the people with knowledge, passion, and a cause, and will carry those convictions to the capitol to lead our great state. The hearts of Georgians will learn what those British military leaders knew long ago: “No people can ever be made to submit to a form of government they say they will not receive.” When we understand the government to which "they" want us to submit, we can choose not to receive it. The power to truly change America begins at the state level. Our votes and our voices do indeed count. Make yours count for liberty and justice for all Georgians. Shane Coley for State Senate.
